Kenneman's Pub
Memorial Day , May 30, 2005

Destination : Kenneman's Pub , Phillipsburg , New Jersey
Hi Lou & Carol,
Attached are some photos from our run today to Kenneman's Pub in
Phillipsburg.
We had ten vettes in our group. We left from Benns Hill Road, traveled
through
Belvidere, NJ on Route 519 to Kenneman's Pub. We were joined there by
six other
club members who participated in the Memorial Day Parade. We enjoined a
great
lunch and were greeted by a very gracious host. The Pub has been in
operation
for about none months. One of the owners is a corvette owner and would
like to
start a cruise at the Pub once or twice a year. This was the first
one. The
menu was varied and the prices were very reasonable. They offered the
participants a 15% discount on the bill. We received token gifts and
they could
not have been more accommodating.
If you are looking for someplace different to try, you won't be
disappointed if
you stop.
On the trip home, Pete & Nancy Izzo led the group to a side trip to
Merrill
Creek Reservoir. We encountered two deer eating on the road next to the
parking
lot. We were able to walk up to within 10 feet of them without having
them run
off.
If you have not had the opportunity to stop at Merrill Creek
Reservoir, they have a great building with lots of displays of the local
habitat.
Hope to see you on the road,
Dot & Bud
